Hijras angered by Sankar's 'I', plan to attack his house

Chennai, Jan 18, 2015: Hijras are up in arms against Sankar, director of the movie 'I' released on Jan 15 for Sankranti across the world. They are planning to lay seize to the residence of Sankar in Chennai in the next two days. The Hijras were angered by the depiction of negative role played by Raajani, a hijra in real life too. The story goes that the Raajani as a model trainer falls in love with prospective model , the hero of the movie played by Vikram. But the hero hates her and rejects her love. She then joins hands with a group of villains and strives for his downfall. The Hijras association said in a statement that her characterization in the movie has denigrated their sentiments and showed them in a very poor light. The statement said that Santanam, who played the comic role, has also delivered dialogues that humiliated the hijras. The hijras association has called up on all hijras to assemble in Chennai to stage protest demonstration out side Sankar's residence.
