Tharoor seeks professional probe into wife's death

Thrissur (Kerala), Jan 9: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor Friday sought a "professional" investigation into his wife Sunanda Pushkar's death without "political" pressure and a "pre-determined" mind. "I have lost my wife and have not been allowed to mourn in peace," the former central minister told the media. "I was completely taken aback because none of us in the family had any reason to believe that there was foul play in her passing away," he said. Meanwhile, Delhi Police said it will question ten more people, including Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's personal assistant (PA) and a family friend, in connection with Sunanda Pushkar's murder. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Tharoor's PA, was present in the hotel when Pushkar was found dead in mysterious circumstances Jan 17, 2014, said a police officer. Police will also question Sanjay Dewan, the couple's family friend, who found Pushkar dead at 5.30 p.m. when he came to enquire about her health.
