Tata's Vistara airlines takes to the skies

New Delhi, Jan 9: Vistara, a Tata-Singapore Airlines joint venture airline, on Friday launched its operations with its inaugural flight from Delhi to Mumbai. After over six decades, this marks the re-entry of the Tata Group in the airline business. Vistara happens to be the third full-service carrier in the country, next only to Air India and Jet Airways. Vistara will be operating 148-seater Airbus A320-200 on the following routes; Delhi to Goa, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Srinagar, Jammu and Patna in the first year.
