Wait for some more days for women's bill: BJP women's wing

Panaji, Jan 5: The Narendra Modi-led government has been in power for only six months and should be given "some more days" to usher in reservation for women in parliament and legislative assemblies, BJP Mahila Morcha national president Vijaya Rahatkar said Monday. When asked about the steps being taken by the BJP women's wing to ensure that the Women's Reservation Bill has a logical conclusion, Rahatkar said: "It will happen soon. It has been only six months since the government has come to power. It should be given some time... Now that we have waited for so long, we can wait for some more days. "We have faith that the government will do it," Rahatkar said. Rahatkar, who was addressing a press conference at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state headquarters here, also said that her unit was taking up with the state government the issue of the death of 27-year-old Bollywood designer Isha Mantry due to suspected drug overdose.
