Archaeologists find pre-historic site in Nalgonda

Hyderabad, Dec 22: The Department of Archaeology is reported to have identified a habitation dating back to pre-history near Pazzur village of Thipparthi mandal in Nalgonda district. Officials visited the site, which is locally known as Pati, and found antiquities including grinding stones, black ware pottery and a part of rim of a storage pot. The officials said this could be the first pre-historic site in the district dating back to 1st or 2nd century AD. Experts from Archaeology department are expected to visit the site on Tuesday to examine the site to find ways for excavation.
