TS Govt sanctions Rs.10 K monthly pension for actor Kantarao's widow
Hyderabad, Dec 17, 2014: Showing its generosity, Telangana Government has sanctioned a monthly pension of Rs. 10,000 to the widow of popular actor Nata Prapurna T.L. Kanta Rao. Kanta Rao, who was born at Kodada in Nalgonda district, acted in more than 400 films in Telugu, Kannada , Tamil and Hindi. He was a regular co-actor for the legendary heroes NT Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao in most of their films. Kanta Rao passed away on March 22, 2009 leaving financial distress to his widow. Recognizing this, the Telangana Government has sanctioned her monthly pension.
