19 eve-teasers nabbed by Rachakonda SHE teams
Hyderabad, April.15: The Rachakonda SHE teams have booked 18 cases against eve-teasers and apprehended 19 persons, including two minors and 17 majors, in the last two weeks. All the accused attended the counseling session conducted at Commissioner of Police Camp office at TTI, Nagole, LB Nagar on April 15.
The police cited a few cases as follows:
Police said in one case, a student Yedala Manohar Kumar, 23, of Mallapur has been stalking a woman since two years. When the accused proposed to marry her, she rejected. On April 1, when she went to Tarnaka to write examination, the accused followed her on bike and took her forcibly to Keesaragutta and pressurized her to marry him. On knowing that her engagement was fixed with a person, the accused went to the house of the person, who was supposed to marry her, and showed morphed photos and duplicate messages due to which the engagement was cancelled. On a complaint filed by the victim, an FIR was registered against him in Cr.no 291/2017 U/s 354 IPC at Medipally PS and the accused was arrested and sent for judicial custody, the police said.
In another case, a 34-year housewife complained that she was receiving vulgar calls from an unidentified miscreant. She stated that on April 1 she received a phone call from mobile No. 8074683185. The caller said his name was Rahul, a police reporter and enquired about complainant’s whereabouts and abused her in filthy language.
In another case, a woman found a person riding a motor cycle roaming around her house and making indecent gestures with intention to outrage her modesty. On her complaint, a case was registered at Jawahar Nagar PS and the accused was identified as Pullela Ramesh, 37, car driver residing at Neredmet. The accused was arrested and remanded.
One K.Sai Kumar S/o Bhaskar, Aged 20 Yrs Occ; Pvt Job, Caste: BC-B, R/o H.No: 1-9- 278/2, Kushaiguda has been misbehaving with a 16 years old girl student and followed her while she was going and returning from her college, from last one month. She Team taken initiative to rescued the girl .and registered a case in 70© of CP Act in Kushaiguda Police station. And produced before the Hon”ble Magistrate and attended the counseling.
On April 7, at about 2130 hrs an 18-year old girl was returning home after completion of her work at Sainikpuri. When she reached near Pedda Sai Baba Temple, the accused T. Venkatesh S/o Buchi Ramulu, aged 25 yrs, occ: Pvt Job, Caste: Chakali, R/o Plot No 10, Chiripuri colony, Lalapet. Ph No. 9701647512, and R2: G. Kranthi S/o Histak, aged 25 yrs, occ: Pvt Job, Caste: SC-B, r/o SP Nagar, Moulali. Ph No. 9948870980 came on motor cycle Br No. AP29AN-4233 and teased her with filthy language. At that time, She Team were present at spot and done the decoy operation and a case was registered in 70© of CP Act in Kushaiguda Police station. They were produced before the Magistrate and attended the counseling.
In addition to these, 13 Eve teasers were caught in SHE teams decoy operations and through Whatsapp complaints from different areas of Rachakonda while they are teasing girls at different junctions/ Bus stops/Working Places and colleges of the Rachakonda area. All are booked under petty cases and counseled them with professional counselors in front of their family members at CAW Cell LB Nagar.
