Rakul finds fault with directors!
Rakul Preet Singh found fault with some of the directors of the Telugu film industry saying that they are not trying to pen good characterisation to the heroines. In their opinion, the heroines are only to show glamour and shaking legs with the heroes to give relief from the monotonous scenes. Recalling the old films, she says, ‘The directors of yester years used to give equal weight to the hero and heroine in a film and many artistes like Savitri, Jamuna and others became famous because of their characters. Now-a-days, the heroines remained just glam dolls and nothing more.’
She, however, felt very happy that she got a good character in ‘Rarandoy Veduka Chooddam’ movie and her role is on par with the hero in that film and she has got a good scope to perform in the movie. she says more and more such films should come and the directors should try to extract the acting talents in heroines. However, she is not that interested to do heroine-centric movies and there is a lot of time to do such movies
