Puri's upcoming film ‘Rogue’ to hit floors soon

After the success of ‘Temper’ with Young Tiger NT RamaRao, Puri Jagannath’s fate took a nosedive and his bad period continued. His films like ‘Jyothi Lakshmi, Loafer and Ism’ miserably failed at the Box Office. At present, he is doing a film with Varun Tej with a working title of ‘Maa Amma Mahalakshmi’. The director may continue to retain the title or may change it later. The shooting of the film is likely to be wrapped up soon.

Immediately, Puri has plans to launch his next movie ‘Rogue’. Some time ago it was gossiped that Mahesh will play the lead role in this film and it would be a sequel to Puri’s blockbuster ‘Pokiri’. However, Puri declared through his tweet in Twitter in last October that he is introducing a new face ‘Ishan’ as the hero through this movie. Ishan is the son of CR Manohar, producer of Srikant’s 100th film ‘Mahatma’.

It was decided to launch the shooting from November last year, but it failed to take place as Puri is busy holding story discussions with Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, which finally went in favour of VV Vinayak. The crew of ‘Rogue’ is confident that ‘Rogue’ would definitely earn a good name for Puri Jagannath on the lines ‘Idiot’ and the characterisation of Ishan was almost similar to that of Raviteja’s role in Idiot.
