Jana Reddy angry with Harish on Mallanna compensation

Congress legislature Party leader K. Jana Reddy said on Monday that there was a contradiction between Chief Minister K. Chadrasekhar Rao and Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on the payment of compenasation to the oustees of the Mallannasagar project in Medak district. Jana Reddy said while the Chief Minister was saying one thing, Harish was saying that it would be a loss if the oustee farmers had accepted the compensation under the Land Acquisition Act, 2013. This was almost threatening the farmers, he added. The Congress leader wanted to know what was really on the mind of the ruling party leaders. They were also saying that if the farmers preferred the offered compensation, it would be more than under the Land Acquisition Act. How could it be so? He wanted to know how the government was going to protect the interests of the oustee farmers. In any case, what Harish Rao was saying in this regard was not proper.
