Ashok Gajapathi clarifies on arms merchant ties

Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Thursday stated that he had visited the arms merchant, Sanjya Bhandari's stall at Bangalore Air Show on his invitation. He was referring to reports that he had ties with the arms merchant. There was nothing to hide, the minister said. He had no special relations with the arms merchant. However, he had visited Bhandari's stall during the recent air show at Bangalore at his invitation. The enforcement agencies have discovered 365 calls between the arms merchant and the OSD in the Civil Aviation Ministry. Sanjya Bhandari is in the thick of Robert Vadra's plush London flat charge.
