Payyavula cautions against sunflower defectors

Describing defectors as sunflowers, TDP leader Payyavula Keshav said the party leadership should be wary of defectors who just wanted power and would defect to any party that had the power. As Keshav said this at the TDP mini-Mahanadu at Kalyanadurgam in Anantpur district, Kadiri MLA Attar Chand Basha, who recently defected to the TDP from the YCP, was on the dais. He specifically cautioned the party leadership to be alert about the defectors. They could create problems for the TDP in the future, he said. Chand Basha was ill at ease as he had to sit through Keshav's speech. As soon as Keshav completed the caution, Chand Basha slipped away from the dais.
