TRS fails to fulfill its assurances to people : Mallu Ravi
Hyderabad, May 23: Opining that creation of new districts was necessary for the governance and the officials to stay very near to the people, TPCC vice-president Mallu Ravi has alleged that the ruling TRS party was trying to utilize the creation of new districts to meet its selfish ends. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, Mallu asked the ruling party to tell the people on what basis it was creating the new districts. He suggested to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who was conducting meetings with the district Collectors, should have conducted an all-party meeting with public representatives to take their view. Explaining the process of creation of Telangana State by the Centre and Congress party, Mallu said the government has to give priority to the public representatives. He alleged that the people were suffering from various problems and the TRS party, which came to power two years ago, failed to fulfill its assurances till now. “The government brought the issue of creation of new districts to the fore to sidetrack the public issues”, he said.
