DK Aruna demands Gadwal as district

Hyderabad, May 17: Senior Congress leader and former minister DK Aruna today opined that creation of new districts should be acceptable to all but not to create them for political interests. Aruna submitted a memorandum to Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma here on Tuesday and urged him to create Gadwal into a district. Speaking on the occasion, Aruna said the creation of new districts must be in a scientific manner. Making it clear that she will wage war till the government made Gadwal as a new district, she said she will meet Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and explain to him about the need to make Gadwal into a new district. She pointed out that agitations were going on at several places across the State demanding new districts, she added.
