Gun in Delhi bus was meant for Asaduddin Owaisi

The person, who had in April left a letter and a gun in a bag in a Delhi Transport bus, has been traced to UP and identified as Amit Jani of UP. Amit Jani, who had threatened to kill Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union president, Kanhaiya Kumar, had in fact acquired the gun to kill AIMIM president, Asaduddin Owaisi. He was asked why he left the gun in the bag. Jani recalled that the gun was actually meant to kill Asaduddin Owaisi. The letter in the Delhi bus had threatened to kill Omar Khalid, Jawaharlal Nehru research scholar, who was allegedly instrumental in arranging a meeting wherein the convicted traitor Afzal Guru was sought to be eulogized. Amit Jani had admitted signing the letter found in the Delhi bus, according to the police.
