Swami Atmastananda, chief of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, is seriously ill in a Kolkata hospital. The nongenarian has been suffering from various ailments relating to old age for the past 1 year. Mission secretary Sumitananada mentioned this in a press release on Monday. Atmastananda took over as 15th president of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission in 2007. Prime Minister Narendra Modi regards the Swami as his guru. A week days ago, the Prime Minsiter had visited the saint. Atmastananda is 97 years old.
