Congress demands quota in private sector also

Congress MP V.H.Hanumantha Rao undertook a day's fast at Indira Park on Saturday, demanding reservations in the private sector as in the government. Congress leaders in large nubmers rallied round Hanumantha Rao on the demand. Telangana PCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy was present to commiserate with the Rajya Sabh MP. Speaking on the occasion, former Minister K. Jana Reddy pointed out that when the Constitution was compiled, the focus was on government jobs. But following the liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation under the Congress, more jobs developed in the private sector. Jana Reddy said both the Central and State governments should keep the development in perspective and create reservations in the private sector also.
