AP High Court gives partial relief to Sujana Chaudary plea in NBW case

The quash petition filed by the legal team of Union Sujana Chaudary on Tuesday was partially entertained by the AP High Court, which gave him 9 days postponement for appearance before the Nampalli court in connection with the non-bailable warrant filed against him by Mauritius Bank. The case pertains to Sujana Universal Industries Ltd. standing guarantee to its subsidiary which had defaulted on the repayment of Rs 100 crore loan to the bank. Sujana's case is that he is neither a director in the subidiary nor he had even a single digit share in it. He therefore wanted the non-bailable warrant filed against him be quashed. The High Court heard both the parties and gave him 9 days more time for his appearance before the Nampalli court from April 26 to May 5. Legal experts are of the view that Sujana is well advised to appear before the court on the designated date and get the non-bailable warrant recalled. Otherwise, he might face legal problems.
