After hike petrol to cost Rs 65.90 a litre in Hyderabad

Following the increase of petrol price in the country by Rs 2.19 a litre and diesel by 98 paise, the hike in the Telugu States will be as follows. In Hyderabad, petrol price will be Rs 65.90 per litre and diesel Rs 53.93 a litre. In Vijayawada, it will be Rs 67.15 per litre and dielsel Rs 53.19 per litre, and in Visakhapatnam it will be Rs 67.18 per litre and diesel Rs 54.93 per litre. While the oil price increases immediately tell on the public, the government may have touched upon a sticky measure in increasing the oil prices, while the world oil prices are sliding down. As compared to oil prices in Telugu States, petrol will cost only Rs 61.87 per litre in Delhi as against Rs 59.68 currently. The prices will oncrease from midnight on Tuesday night. The retail price increases depend upon proximity of the refinery and the transportation involved therefrom and the value added tax added by State governments.
