Hyderabad Central University up for laughs

Hyderabad Central University students are transforming their supposed frustrations into fun, which is the hallmark of their high educational standards. The venue they have chosen is the Shop-Com in the North Block, the centre of their fight over Rohith Vemula, the research scholar who committed suicide. The students are coming up with their skits, jokes and plays at the venue, making fun of it all. There is this Malayali boy among the students who dreams of marrying an upper case girl, and never finds one. His `Dalit love' always ends in disaster to the amusement of all the other students. There is this Telugu boy, who converts violence into fun. He says about the police lathicharge on the students on the day of the return of Vice-chancellor Podile Apparao. `Ek mar, char tukda', he says innocently as he points to his leg, which broke in the lathicharge. There is this Manipuri boy whose stories are never ending. As he meanders into his story, he goes on and on. And if anyone gets bored, he would immediately ask, `Have you heard of Mahadev's story.' The story would go on and on. So make fun of your frustration, you will never go into depression.
