MLAs leaving TDP boat like rats, says Revant
With the TDP MLAs ditching the party and joining the ruling TRS, the Telugu Desam leader, Revant Reddy, has said he is much pained by the ruling party brand of politics. At the same time, Revant said the TDP leaders who were defecting the party like the rats were worse than animals. They do not have even the loyalty that animals possessed. The leaders who stood against adversity were real men, he added. Speaking to newmen after reviewing the situation at Qutbullapur after the exit of the TDP MLA on Saturday, Revant said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's Secretariat was only good for his grandson playing marbles there, meaning no useful work was being done there. Coming back to the exit of TDP MLAs, the same leaders who were sold out to KCR would tomorrow be up for sale for the leader to emerge from that party such as Chief Minister's nephew T. Harish Rao, he said. Where are the JAC leaders, Revant asked, who remained silent such as Prof Kodanda Ram and educationist Chukka Ramaiah when so much bad was happening in the polity? Revant expressed confidence that after the diseased part was out, the TDP would emerge with fresh blood. The decision on appointing a new TDP leader for Qutbullapur would be taken shortly. The party would allot 50% seats for the Backward Class Communities in the 2019 elections. In 100 State constituencies, the people would see new faces.
