India aware of heightened Sino-Pak N-cooperation
India has taken seriously the issue of Pakistan-China nuclear cooperation by which Islamabad was doubling its atomic reactors and enhancing its nuclear arsenal. On its part, India is taking all measures required to defend its security and meet with any eventuality, Minister of State for External Affairs V.K. Singh said on Friday in a written reply in the Lok Sabha. VK Singh informed the House that there were reports that China had given Pakistan enough fuel required by two nuclear reactors. The heightened nuclear activity in Pakistan could prove a threat to India eventually. The aggressive nature of China-Pakistan relationship and their mutual agreement was well within the ken of the Indian agencies. While Pakistan had two functioning N-reactors, two more N-reactors were in the making, he added.
