US concerned over terror from Pakistan: Parrikar

New Delhi, Dec 16: Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said on Wednesday the US has expressed concern over terrorism emanating from Pakistan. Asked about the US reaction to India raising the issue of terrorism from Pakistan, the minister said: "The reaction was good and concerns were expressed." The minister was talking to reporters after laying wreath at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate on Vijay Diwas, which marks India's military victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, which led to creation of Bangladesh. Parrikar visited US last week, and met US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter. A joint statement issued last Friday after the talks did not mention Pakistan, but said the two sides discussed a "wide range of regional security issues", including the threat posed by Islamic State and entities such as Al-Qaeda and its affiliates, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, D Company (Dawood Ibrahim), the Haqqani Network, and other regional terror groups.
