Chennai floods: Illaiyaraaja distributes food to physically challenged kids

Hyderabad, Dec 4: Music composer Illaiyaraaja, moved by the plight of visually challenged, deaf and mute Children of Little Flower Convent in Nungambakkam at Chennai, who were inundated with almost four feet of water, visited the convent in a boat distributed food packets and spent 30 minutes with them. The 72-year-old maestro insisted on meeting the children even after being warned by activist Abdul Ghani of the high water levels. Illaiyaraaja sang a devotional song and offered prayers along with the children.
