JC Diwakar Reddy's sensational comments on Special status, BJP and Bihar polls

Hyderabad, Nov 9: Telugu Desam Party member of parliament JC Diwakar Reddy today said that the defeat of Bharatiya Janata Party in the Bihar elections is a lesson to all the chief ministers in all the states across the country including Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Diwakar Reddy was speaking to the media at the state Secretariat in Hyderabad today. In the same breath he said even though Andhra Pradesh people have kept lot of hopes on TDP and BJP, BJP cannot dream of coming to power in the state in the next 10 years. He also said that nobody knows about BJP is Rayalaseema. Therefore, he said BJP should keep this in mind before dreaming of ruling the state in the near future. He then went on to confirm that AP will never get the special status and everybody, including the ministers, MPs and MLAs, know about this. Even common people also know about this issue and therefore it is a waste to talk on the special issue, he said. It is to be seen how his statements will be received by political circles all over the state and country. However, there are questions on the likely impact Diwakar's comments on the ties between TDP and BJP at the state and the central level.
