TS to fill 9,056 posts in police dept

Hyderabad, Nov 7: Telangana government today took a decision to fill up at least 9,056 posts in the state's police department. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is said to have signed the orders for this massive recruitment in the police department. The break up of posts available in the various police departments is as follows: regular civil police (8360 posts), Spcecial Protection Force (186 posts) and Fire department (510 posts). Sources said the government plans to allocate 33 per cent of the posts in the civil police department for women.
