Modi flys to Tirupati for 3-hour visit

Hyderabad, Oct 22: After taking part in the historic foundation stone laying ceremony at Amaravati, Prime Minister Narendra Modi this afternoon flew out of Gannavaram airport in a special flight to Tirupati. During his three-hour visit to the temple town, Modi will first inaugurate a new passenger terminal constructed at a cost of Rs 190 crore at the Tirupati airport located in Renigunta. Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is to accompany Modi to Tirupati. After this, Modi will lay the foundation stone for a mobile phones manufacturing hub that is to come up close to the airport. Later, Modi is expected to offer prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala today. He will then return to Delhi by evening.
