Tur dal soars past Rs 200 per kg

Hyderabad, Oct 19: In the open retail market, the price of lentils like tur dal is soaring sky high. According to latest reports, a kg of tur dal has crossed the Rs 200 mark. Nine months ago, tur dal used to cost Rs 80 per kg. Last month, it was Rs 140 per kg. Today, it costs more than Rs 200 in the retail market causing concern to the consumers. Till few days back, onion prices had brought tears in the eyes of consumers and today tur dal is burning holes in the pockets of common consumers.
