Kiwi cricketer names Dinesh Mongia in match fixing scam

London, Oct 13: Former New Zealand cricketer Lou Vincent has testified before a London court that former Indian cricket player Dinesh Mongia was part of a gang that was involved in fixing matches in the now-defunct Indian Cricket League (ICL). Vincent even said that the team Captain Chris Cairns persuaded him to take part in match-fixing. Chris Cairns was the captain of Chandigarh Lions team in which Lou Vincent and Dinesh Mongia were players. Dinesh Mongia rubbished the allegations. He said that he was not involved in match fixing. Cairns sued former IPL chairman Lalit Modi of $ 2.4 million for naming him in match fixing scandal. According to Vincent, two others Indian players were also involved in the scandal.
