Officials speed up approvals for Amaravati
Guntur, Oct 12: The APCRDA officials have expedited process to get environmental clearances and other approvals for the upcoming capital Amaravati. It may be noted that National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed the AP government to start capital city works only after obtaining mandatory permissions. While Chandrababu announced that environmental clearances would be obtained soon, CRDA officials claimed that all necessary permissions would be obtained either today or tomorrow. According to reports, government has recently informed that NGT that it had not applied for any permission. Many see that getting permissions all of sudden indicates gross misuse of power.
