16 choppers, 9 helipads for AP capital foundation-laying ceremony

Vijayawada, Oct 05: The Andhra Pradesh government is making elaborate arrangements to conduct capital city foundation-laying ceremony on October 22 on a grand note. The officials will use 16 helicopters to transport the VVIP delegates from Gannavaram airport to the venue. Officials have started works to construct new helipads in and around Vijayawada. According to reports, government identified 250 acres site for the ceremony at Uddandarayunipalem village. A massive public meeting will be held on the occasion in which 1 lakh people in the region are expected to attend. Officials are expanding the roads leading to Uddandarayunipalem. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Singapore and Japan Ministers would address the public meeting.
