Police hand in glove with red sanders smugglers: DGP

Kurnool, Sep 25: A section of police are hand in glove with red sanders smugglers, said Andhra Pradesh DGP JV Ramudu. Speaking to the media at Kurnool, JV Ramudu said that rampant red sanders smuggling in the state would not have been possible without the cooperation of police. He warned that stringent action would be initiated against the police officials who were found to be helping red sanders smugglers. The DGP said that probe was ordered into the seizure of narcotics in Kurnool. He announced that 14,000 vacant posts would be filled in police department soon. He opined that Anti-Ragging Committees constituted in educational institutions were yielding good results.
