TS Cabinet reshuffle likely, 3 Ministers may be dropped

Hyderabad, Sep 04: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to reshuffle his Cabinet by this month-end. According to reports, the Chief Minister expressed displeasure over the functioning of some Ministers and is contemplating to depute the party leaders to strengthen the party at grassroot level. The Cabinet reshuffle may take place after KCR's return from China or after the Assembly session that is scheduled to start on September 23. Sources said that Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Tourism Minister Ajmera Chandulal and Excise Minister T Padma Rao may be dropped from the Cabinet. KCR is happy with the performance of Nayani, but he wants the senior leader to take care of the party affairs. Excise Minister T Padma Rao drew flak from all quarters on cheap liquor issue. It is learnt that Tourism Minister Ajmera Chandulal is facing health problems and finding it difficult to discharge duties. Similarly, Industries portfolio may be allocated to KTR and Kavitha may take over the reigns of the party. Etela and Jupally's portfolios may be changed and two other members including a woman may be inducted into the Cabinet.
