Dattatreya trapped in lift, rescued

Hyderabad, Aug 30: Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and others were trapped in the lift of a building at Kachiguda in the city today. The incident sent BJP workers and security personnel into a tizzy. Dattatreya was scheduled to attend a book launch programme. He entered the lift to reach the venue in the building but it got stuck between two floors. Police struggled for some time, opened the door and rescued Dattatreya. The party workers and officials heaved a sigh of relief as the Minister was safely evacuated from the lift. It may be noted that BJP national president Amit Shah was also trapped inside a lift and it created uproar among the party cadres.
