Nagari municipal chairperson's husband arrested

Hyderabad, August 16: The police forcefully arrested KJ Kumar, husband of Nagari (Chittoor district) Municipal Chairperson Shanta Kumari. According to sources, police raided Shanta Kumari's house after midnight on Saturday. They broke the gates of the house. The police arrested KJ Kumar and shifted him to Puttur police station. Protesting against the arrest of her husband, Chairperson Shanta Kumari staged a sit-on dharna before the Puttur police station. Alleging that the police filed illegal cases against her family members with the support of TDP leader Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu, Shanta Kumari expressed fear of life threat to her husband.
