Tihar inmate killed

New Delhi/Hyderabad, August 12: An undertrial prisoner at the high security ward in prison number 8 in Tihar jail was attacked and killed by other four inmates on Tuesday night. Deepak (29) had been in Tihar jail since 2008, who was proved guitly in many cases ranging from theft to murder. The four attacked Deepak with iron rods of window sill at about 10.30 pm yesterday. Deepak was severely injured and rushed to the hospital. But the doctors said he was brought dead. The police are suspecting assailants include Manpreet, life convict Satpal and another two. Prison PRO Prasad said Manpreet killed another inmate earlier. The four inmates regularly violates prison rules and used to fight. There are several criminal cases against them in this regard. A case has been registered at Hari Nagar police station and investigation is on.
