1,330 medical posts to be filled soon

Hyderabad, August 2: The Telangana government would soon fill about 1,330 vacant medical posts on contract basis. In a statement, Principal Secretary of Medical and Health Department Suresh Chanda said that there are 630 MBBS and ayush posts; 300 ANM; 300 pharmacists and another 100 posts of physiotherapist, staff nurse, psychologist and others. As a part of Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, under National Health Mission, these posts will be filled through district selection committee, on merit basis.Notification for these posts will be issued in next week and would complete the recruitment process in one month. The government would set up mobile teams to identify diseases in children of 0 to 16 years age. 150 community health, nutrition clusters will be set up and there will be two mobile health teams under each cluster. The team consists of one female and male doctor, one ANM and a pharmacist. In all the 10 districts, one children's specialist, MBBS medical officer and one dental medical officer will be appointed.
