UP bans sale of Dominos, Parle products
Lucknow, July 22: The Uttar Pradesh Food and Drug Authority (FDA) suspended the licence of Dominos and banned all kinds of sale in some of its outlets till further orders. Following a complaint, the FDA officials sent a sample of tomato sauce used in the food products for testing and the sample was found unsafe for consumption. Similarly, the government suspended the sale of Parle Monaco biscuits after it received a compliant that a girl fell sick by consuming the biscuits. The sale of the biscuits was banned in Allahabad and five others districts in the state. The officials carried raids and seized 800 packets of the biscuit at a godown near Allahabad.
