Jayalalithaa DA case hearing on July 24
Chennai/Hyderabad, July 19: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa 's disproportionate assets (DA) case will come to hearing in Supreme Court on July 24.
The Bengaluru High Court justice Kumarasami issued orders to release Jayalalithaa, Sashikala, Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran in DA case. An appeal petition, on behalf of the Karnataka government was filed against this verdict in Supreme Court on June 23. The petition was again filed on July 11 after making corrections in the earlier one.
On the other hand, an appeal petition on behalf of DMK chief secretary Anbalagan was also filed in Supreme Court. Supreme Court announced hearing on these appeal petitions would be held on July 24.
