Injustice to Telangana in allocation of water resources: MP Kavitha

Hyderabad, July 11: TRS MP K Kavitha alleged that successive governments has rendered gross injustice to Telangana. Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here, Kavitha said that AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had done injustice to Telangana in allocation of water resources. She held Chandrababu responsible for water scarcity in Nizamabad district. It was during Chandrababu’s regime, irrigation projects were taken up for commissions. Within a year government revived 800 irrigation tanks in drought prone Mahabubnagar district, she added. Kavitha said that 40 lakh acre ayacut will be stabilized by Palamuru lift irrigation scheme. She demanded the Centre to allocate 30 tmcs to SLBC if national states is awarded to Polavaram project, as per a resolution passed by all party committee.
