D Srinivas joins TRS, says KCR can only realise ‘Golden TS’

Hyderabad, July 8: Congress leader and former PCC president Dharmapuri Srinivas joined TRS today. TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao welcomed Srinivas into the party by offering him the party ‘Khanduva’. Speaking to the media, Srinivas said that his friendship with KCR is three decades-old. He said that TRS was formed with the sole aim of achieving statehood for Telangana. He observed that Telangana became a reality due to KCR’s proximity to Sonia Gandhi. DS reiterated that he fought for Telangana through constitutional means. DS hoped that the two Telugu states would compete in development and alleged that AP CM Chandrababu is stalling development works in Telangana. A large number of DS followers arrived at TRS Bhavan on this occasion. DS vowed to strengthen the leadership of KCR. The credit for uniting Telangana people goes to KCR and the statehood is fruits of the 60-year struggle, he said. KCR can only realise the dream of ‘Golden Telangana State, he added.
