News reader held for coercing women into prostitution

Kadiri (Anantapur), June 6: Police arrested a news reader for allegedly coercing women into prostitution. The police also arrested two pimps and recovered a laptop and three memory cards from their possession at Kadiri. The issue came to light after a victim's father lodged a missing person complaint. According to sources, the girl wrote a letter alleging that the news reader Sanma forced her into prostitution and circulated her nude image through Whats app. The main accused Sanma campaigned for TDP during the general elections. Sources said that police were trying to weaken the case due to pressure from politicians.
