Hyderabad, May 28, 2015: On the second day of the three-day Mahanadu of TDP, the party has adopted a resolution unanimously seeking the Centre to confer Bharat Ratna to the late chief minister and legendary actor NTR.
When the resolution was introduced by chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, the delegates lost no time in adopting it unanimously.
Chandrababu also announced that his government will re-introduce the Cheera-Dhovati scheme once successfully implemented by NTR.
Amid clasps of appreciation, Chandrababu also said that an NTR statue, in an imposing posture of Lord Srikrishna, will be installed on the banks of the Godavari River soon.
Most of the speeches including that of Chandrababu Naidu, on the second day on Thursday, were dedicated to praising NTR as the day happened to be the NTR's 92nd Jayanti.
Telangana TDP leaders Errabelli Dayakara Rao and Motkupally Narasimhulu were most vociferous among those who attacked KCR today.
Meanwhile, six sets of nominations were filed on behalf of Chandrababu Naidu as a candidate for the election of party president. Chandrababu is likely to be elected unanimously.
