Amaravati would be people's capital with all amenities: Chandrababu

Hyderabad, May 25 , 2015 : AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu disclosed here today that the capital city Amaravati would be constructed keeping in view the necessities to meet the amenities for a possible 1.3 Cr population that would pervade the capital region when fully developed. Addressing a media conference along with the visiting Singapore Minister Eswaran, Chandrababu Naidu said the capital city, divided into seven corridors spread over 219 square km, would be a people's city with amenities to all. Saying that more or less the master plan of the capital city handed over by the Singapore Government today to him is an excellent one, Chandrababu said there may be some little changes in the final plan. He said he is expecting the seed capital plan by mid-July and the Government would go ahead with the Bhumi Puja on June 6 as announced. "However, the actual construction work will begin from Vijayadasami festival ," Chandrababu said , adding that the decision has been taken in view of the Muhurta constraints in the backdrop of Godavari Pushkarams. The Chief Minister has also announced that the dynamics and structure of the capital city would be in a position to generate employment to the youth and would be made rich with international-level standards. The Singapore Minister Eswaran said that the AP Capital city would be green in all respects.
