Kurnool district YSRCP leader brutally murdered

Kurnool,May 15, 2015: A Kurnool district YSR Congress Party leader was brutally murdered by unidentified persons this morning. Vasantha Rao, 55, YSRCP leader of the Sunnipenta Mandalam, was on his way to Hyderabad when the rivals attacked him with stones, forced him to stop his vehicle and killed him using sickles and axes when he got down. The murder took place in the early hours today at the second unit of the Srisailam Hydro power project in Mahabubnagar district. On hearing of the incident, Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for postmortem. Reports said the murder is the result of old faction rivalries between local satraps. Police have registered a case and are on the look out for the killers.
