YSRCP ex-MLA Gurnatha Reddy arrested for inciting violence

Hyderabad, May 3, 2015: Anantapuram district police have arrested former YSRCP MLA Gurnatha Reddy at his residence at Banjara Hills here on Sunday. Gurnth Reddy was arrested after police filed a case that he had incited violence and attacks on Government offices immediately after the brutal murder of YSRCP leader Siva Prasada Reddy four days ago at MRO Office at Raptadu. It may be recalled that the the killed leader's supporters had set on fire MRO office immediately after the murder. They even attacked police personnel. However, Gurunath Reddy said that the case was foisted on him and he never encouraged any violence or provoked the party supporters."I was there with the police after the murder of my party leader," he said, adding that a false case was foisted on him. It is a vindictive act by the TDP Government, Gurnatha Reddy alleged.
