In a recent development, officials from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) have carried out searches in Allagadda town, located in the Nandyala district. This action comes in the wake of the arrest of Mohammed Yunus, a man affiliated with the Popular Front of India, three months ago in Nandyala. Yunus, who is alleged to be a 'master weapons trainer,' had been on the run and was apprehended in Karnataka. NIA Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajeev and his team conducted searches at Yunus' aunt's residence in Allagadda. The NIA SP clarified that these searches were conducted due to suspicions of Yunus having connections with terrorists. According to the NIA, the individuals arrested in the Nizamabad case were allegedly involved in a plot to radicalize young people and provide them with training in the use of weapons for carrying out acts of terrorism. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
