In some exciting space news, NASA has shared a photograph of the Chandrayaan-3 landing site on the moon. They used a special spacecraft called the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) to capture this image. In the picture, you can see the lander, Vikram, as a dark spot with a bright circle around it. This cool snapshot was taken by the camera on the LRO when it was at a slanted angle of 42 degrees, just four days after Vikram touched down on the moon. Vikram made its landing near the moon's south pole on August 23. What's interesting is that NASA also spotted a "bright halo" around the lander in the photo. They believe this glow is caused by the rocket plume interacting with the moon's fine-grained soil, which is known as lunar regolith. Meanwhile, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has put the Chandrayaan-3 lander and its rover, Pragyan, to sleep mode after they completed their first set of experiments
