Union Surface Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari, predicted that the use of drones for everyday travel is around the corner. Speaking at the Akhand Bharat Sankalp Day event hosted by the Rashtra Nirman Samiti in Nagpur, he mentioned that farmers are already utilizing drones to distribute fertilizers and some can carry goods up to 200 kg. Gadkari envisions the near future where people will take "air taxis" for quick trips to places like railway stations or airports. He also encouraged students to harness technology to safeguard the nation's borders and boost village development.
