Nizamabad: Tension escalated in Nizamabad after Neelakanteshwara temple's Executive Officer (EO) Venu sparked outrage among devotees by swimming in the temple Pushkarini while priests were performing sacred rituals. A video capturing EO Venu's swimming act in the Pushkarini (temple tank) has gone viral on social media, leading to widespread condemnation and calls for stern action against him. It is learnt that despite warnings from the temple priests, Venu continued swimming while doing the sacred rituals. Venu holds the position of EO in charge of all four temples, adding to the severity of the criticism.
